Alexander Chan was appointed head of ESG client strategy Asia-Pacific at Invesco. This is a new job. In an email, Gina Simonis, spokeswoman, stated that Mr. Chan’s hiring is part of an expansion in the money manager’s global environmental, governance, and social team. Maximilian Kufer, the head of ESG-private markets, is a new position. Sudip Hazra is the director of ESG Research. The appointment of Mr. Kufer was made public earlier in the month. Mr. Hazra was previously co-head ESG research at European financial services company KeplerCheuvreux. He replaces Nikki GwilliamBeeharee who left Invesco in March, to become the investor engagement lead at non profit organization World Benchmarking Alliance. Invesco also hired four new analysts and a client management position in London, Atlanta and Boston. All of these positions are new and all members of ESG report to Cathrine de Coninck Lopez, Invesco’s global head ESG. Mr. Chang was previously the co-director and head for innovation and sustainability at The Mills Fabrica in Hong-Kong. As of June 30, Invesco had $52.7 billion of ESG assets under its management. As of June 30, 2018, the total AUM of the manager was $1.5 trillion.
