TechCrunchEnpal has closed Series C with $174M of SoftBank to help homeowners make the switch. One of the major obstacles to homeowners making the switch to renewable energy is the difficulty in getting the technology to work properly, provide cost-effective services, provide good customer service, and manage their overhead. As it prepares for growth, a startup believes it has solved some of these problems and is now announcing a large funding round. Enpal, a Berlin-based startup that provides solar services and uses AI to provision and install them. It then offers a subscription-style model for homeowners, which you might call solar-as a service (or solar-as a service). SoftBank Vision Fund has provided funding of EUR150 million ($174 Million).
