American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD), has released its first Environmental, Social, Governance and Governance (ESG), report. ATD officials state that the company is committed “to identifying opportunities and investing in solutions that improve its holistic community impact.” Stuart Schuette, ATD President & CEO, stated that “Our corporate vision is for our customers to thrive and drive into future with a stated purpose of being the most connected and intelligent automotive solutions provider.” ESG is a key factor in business resilience. As a leader within the industry and tire replacement ecosystem, ATD serves as a crucial and expeditious link between customers and manufacturers. “ATD is focusing its efforts on reducing its greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), as well as energy use and waste. It aims to achieve a 25% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The company also wants to reduce its carbon footprint by replacing fossil-based energy sources with renewable ones. This includes increased use of alternative-fuel vehicles and reductions in energy consumption, recycling, and repurposing.
