Premier Foods, the maker of Mr. Kipling, has created a new ESG Strategy. It outlines a series major sustainability commitments including the goal of achieving net-zero direct emissions by 2040. “We have grown rapidly as a company over the past 18 months and now have bigger and more bolder .[… ambitions. We believe we have a responsibility to make the world a better place, to provide new products that help people eat healthier, and to care for our communities and colleagues. The Three Pillars”The company plans to double sales of products that meet high nutritional standards by 2030. It also intends to use its proven brand growth model and insights-driven innovation capabilities to provide more healthy options to consumers, including Sharwood’s Vegan cooking and Mr. Kipling’s 30% less sugar cake slices. “In addition to the net zero target, the company also aims at reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 carbon emissions by 42% each by 2030. Premier Foods will also use its proven branded growth model and insight-driven innovation capabilities to develop and provide consumers with a growing number of healthy options, including Sharwood’s Vegan cooking sauces and Mr. Kipling 30% less sugar cake slices.
